Sooke Fire Fighters Scholarship
Students attending Belmont who live in the Sooke municipal boundaries are eligible to apply for the Sooke Fire Fighters Scholarship. Applicants must: live within the municipal boundaries of Sooke, be graduating in June of 2023, and be heading to full-time post-secondary in September 2023. UVic Alpha Chi Theta Orchid Bursary
Female identifying students graduating from the Victoria area and attending the University of Victoria beginning September 2023 qualify for this bursary of $350. BCSS Zone Scholarships
BCSS Zone Scholarships (18 Scholarships Available)
To qualify for the Zone Scholarship, the applicant must:
- must have competed in at least 1 BCSS approved sport during the 2021 year ( Spring 2021, Fall 2021 and or Winter 2022)
- be enrolled in and participated at a BCSS member school
- Be graduating this year and will be entering their first year of full-time studies at an "Accredited Post-Secondary Institution"
- Have demonstrated exceptional athletic achievement in a BCSS activity and, have an average minimum grade percentage of 75%
- Have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership in school and /or community

The Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship
This fund is provided by Bert & Greta Quartermaine, and is dedicated to assisting worthy BC School Sports student-athletes competing in badminton at the high school level in their desire to attend an accredited post-secondary school.
The Bert & Greta Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship rewards excellence in both scholastic and athletic pursuits. The successful applicants will be student-athletes who have balanced their achievements as badminton athletes with significant success as leaders and contributors to their community.
6 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the most worthy candidates (a minimum of two males and two females)
To qualify for the Bert 7 Greta Quartermaine Scholarship , the applicant must:
- Have played badminton at a BC School Sports member school for a minimum of two years
- Be graduating this year and will be entering their first year of full-time studies at an "Accredited Post-Secondary institution"
- Demonstrate leadership and volunteer-ism within their school and or community

BCSS Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship
Dave Gifford was a BCSS Director from 1988-90, and received the BCSS Honour Award in 1992. He was a teacher and Administrator in Vancouver, and died in 1992. In his honour, this scholarship is for one male and one female student who truly excels as a student-athlete.
Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship ( two (2) x $1500) will be awarded to the top male and female student-athlete in the Province.

BC Dairy Association Scholarship
BC Dairy Association, a proud sponsor of BC School Sports, is pleased to announce this year’s Scholarship Fund. BC Dairy Association is dedicated to assisting worthy student-athletes in their desire to attend an accredited University or College by sponsoring this year’s BC Dairy Association Scholarship.
The BC Dairy Association Scholarship rewards student-athletes who exemplify school spirit, practice a healthy lifestyle, and engage with their community.
To qualify for the BC Dairy Association Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be enrolled at a BCSS member school
- Be graduating this year and will be entering their first year of full-time studies in an "Accredited Post-Secondary Institution"
- Have demonstrated school spirit, a healthy lifestyle, and community involvement
- In two of their high school years participated in a minimum of two BCSS recognized activities
- Must have a minimum grade percentage average of 75%
Seven (7) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to the most worthy candidates

Beacon Community Services Scholarship
This $1500 scholarship is open to graduating students who demonstrate exemplary volunteerism or community service. At least some of a candidate’s leadership or volunteer/community service must be identified as having been done within an area covered by Beacon’s geographic boundaries.

Sooke Principals' and Vice-Principals' Association (SPVPA) Bursary (Open to Children of SPVPA)
This bursary available to any high school graduate whose parent or grandparent is a current member of the SPVPA. Completed applications should be submitted to the reception desk at the School Board Office by 4:00 pm on May 2nd, 2023.

Sooke Principals' and Vice-Principals' Association (SPVPA) LEGACY Scholarship (for all graduating students)
This $500 scholarship is open to all students of School District #62. One scholarship will be awarded to one student graduating from each of our district secondary schools. In addition, one $500 scholarship will be awarded to recognize the most eligible applicant of Aboriginal descent within the district. Completed applications should be submitted to the reception desk at the School Board Office by 4:00 pm on May 2, 2023 and labelled as follows: "Attention: SPVPA Scholarship Committee".

Clean Energy BC Student Scholarship
- Applicants must submit a 1-2 page paper (approximately 500 words) responding to the following question:
- “Why is clean energy important to me as a young person in BC?”
- Please cite any relevant experience with projects, volunteering, or community work, and indicate any future plans for involvement. Be sure to indicate the post-secondary institutions you have applied to, as well as any acceptances you have received!
- Applicants must additionally provide one letter of reference (must not be a relative). This could be from a teacher, a community representative, a religious/spiritual teacher, or a coach. The reference letter should speak to your character as a person.

Sooke Fine Arts Show Scholarships
The Sooke Fine Arts Society offers up to two annual scholarships of $750 awarded to students graduating from EMCS, Royal Bay, WestShore, or Belmont, to provide financial support to students entering a post-secondary program which includes a visual arts component. 12 scholarships are available for students of Indigenous ancestry living within specified regions. My Blueprint Scholarships

Rotary Club of Victoria Harbourside
For 2022, the following seven Scholarships are available:
- Three (3) Rotary Club of Harbourside Victoria Scholarships ($1,500 each)
- One (1) Scholarship giving preference to an Indigenous Student ($1,500)
- Three (3) Charter Member Scholarships ($2,000 each)
- One (1) scholarship awarded to a student who has a hearing or speech impairment or will be pursuing a career in speech pathology or audiology, in the name of Marke Hambley.
- One (1) scholarship awarded to a student who has been involved in the military community or who has a member of their family who has served or is serving in the military, in the name of Tom Martin.
