Schulich Leader Scholarships
Applications OPEN NOW. Twenty undergraduate scholarships of $60,000 - $80,000 each are available across Canada for students intending to enroll in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) areas of study at certain Canadian universities. Each secondary school may nominate ONE student. Nominees must possess at least two of the three criteria listed:
- Outstanding community, business or entrepreneurial leadership
- Academic excellence
- Financial need

Beedie Luminaries Scholarships (Bursaries)
These 105 scholarships are $15 000 for a two-year program or $40 000 for a four-year program. They are available for Grade 12 students across BC applying to any BC post-secondary institution. The Beedie Luminaries are looking for resilient students facing financial adversity who have demonstrated the grit, desire, and potential to create positive change. Cmolik Foundation Scholarships
Belmont is able to nominate one student for these scholarships of up to $35,000. The Foundation looks for students that have faced adversity, but through hard work and determination have been successful in achieving their goals. The scholarships will be awarded to BC students who have demonstrated a good work ethic, tenacity, and commitment , and who, without financial assistance, may not have the means to attend a post-secondary institution. Applicants must be BC residents who have lived in Canada for at least 7 years. To be considered for our nomination, your completed nomination form must be submitted to Mrs. Hoskins in Grad Google Classroom on or before the deadline.

Health Sciences Scholarship/Bursary Applications
Over thirty $750-$1500 scholarships are available to children of HSA members.

DB Perks & Lifesaving Society Scholarships
Applicants for this $500 scholarship must be holders of current Lifesaving Society awards and actively employed by a BC Branch Affiliate as a lifeguard or Lifesaving Society Instructor, part-time or full time.

Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence Awards
The Chris Considine Bursary (1 X $1000) is available to high performance youth athletes in running, climbing or cycling and will cover any expenses related to training and competing at a high level. The Liz Ashton Scholarships (2 X $500) are available to youth athletes and will cover strength and conditioning training services at PISE.

David C. Lam TEAL (BC Teachers of English as an Additional Language) Scholarship
This $3000 scholarship recognizes an English language learner graduating from a BC secondary school who has combined academic competence with school and community service, and who wishes to further his/her education at a post-secondary institution in BC. Applicants must be documented permanent residents of Canada. International students on student visas are not eligible for this award.

TCF Refugee Award (BC Teachers of English as an Additional Language)
The $3000 TCF Refugee Award is for a refugee who has shown courage and determination while adapting to a new language and culture in Canada. It recognizes a graduating student who has acquired English as an additional language, who entered Canada as a refugee, and who wishes to study in a vocational or academic program at a post-secondary institute in BC.

Taiga Galli Memorial Refugee Award
Valued at $3,000, this scholarship recognizes an English language learner graduating from a BC secondary school who came to Canada as a refugee and has shown courage and determination while adapting to a new language and new culture.

Canadian Women in STEM Scholarship: Robotics
This scholarship of $10,000 is to encourage and support high school girls who wish to pursue post-secondary education and a career in a STEM field. The ideal candidate would be someone who has demonstrated strong leadership, is fanatical about science and technology and wants to motivate positive change in the community. To be eligible, students will have participated on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) or FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team in Canada

YVR Art Foundation Youth Scholarship
Up to eight scholarships of $5000 each are offered to an emerging artist of BC or Yukon First Nations ancestry, aged 17 to 29, who creates visual art that reflects BC or Yukon First Nations' culture, has the goal of becoming a professional artist, and has been accepted to study with an artist mentor or at a formal art institution.

BC Scholarships Society Indigenous Student Awards
Awards of $1,000 - $5,000 are available for Aboriginal people pursuing post-secondary education at B.C. public post-secondary institutions or Aboriginal-run institutions. They are open to students who identify as First-Nations, Metis, or Inuit and are headed to post-secondary school in the fall of 2023 to pursue trades training, certificate, diploma or degree programs.

Canadian Women in Municipal Government Scholarship
This scholarship of $1000 is open to female students enrolled in any year of study in secondary school who are contributing to their school's leadership team or student council.

STEAM Awards (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, Math)
Are you often described as a leader, an achiever, or an innovator? Do you have limitless drive, ambition, and determination? If so, there’s an opportunity to receive a $25,000 prize towards your post-secondary education. Founded in 2016, the STEAM Horizon Awards invite Canada’s youth to promote positive changes throughout their community using science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). Winners will be awarded a $25,000 prize for their post-secondary education. Two of the five prizes will go to Indigenous youth. The application involves making a video clip and providing two letters of support. Make sure you complete ALL necessary forms on the website.

BC Excellence Scholarship (BC Ministry of Education)
You must be nominated by Belmont in order to apply for this scholarship and only one student from each school may be nominated. Our nominee then applies to the province for one of the 55 Excellence Scholarship vouchers of $5000. Successful students will have demonstrated community service, both inside and outside of school, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career OR post-secondary paths. To be considered for our nomination, your completed nomination form must be submitted to Mrs. Hoskins in the GRAD GOOGLE CLASSROOM on or before the deadline.

The Young Women in Public Affairs Award (Zonta)
This scholarship opportunity is open to girls age 16-19 in Greater Victoria who are involved in their communities. There is a Zonta Victoria local prize awarded and the winner's application is then considered for a district prize (Zonta District 8) of $1500 USD, so about $2000 CAN. The district winner's application will then be submitted to the International level with the potential award of $4,000 US from the Zonta International Foundation. RE/MAX 2023 Quest for Excellence
The Quest for Excellence Program recognizes the pursuits in leadership and community contributions of Western Canadian students. High school students graduating in 2021 from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories are encouraged to write an essay to convey the contributions they have made to enrich the lives of others and their communities through leadership, motivation, volunteering and participation in charitable events or fundraising.
