Lattitude Global Volunteering
Lattitude (the original "gap year" program) offers an amazing opportunity for young people ages 17 to 25 to travel, volunteer, learn and grow through cultural immersion and work experience. If you want to see more of the world, feel that you need a break from school, or are unsure of exactly what you want to do after graduation, this is a cost effective way to travel, gain work and life experience, and learn about other cultures within a safe and structured environment. http://www.lattitudecanada.org/
Katimavik
Katimavik offers learning through volunteer service programs for young Canadians looking for a unique experience that enables them to make positive change in their lives and in communities. Its mission is to prepare youth to become responsible citizens who make positive change in their lives and communities. Its programs focus on the development of lifelong personal, professional and social competencies in the areas of civic engagement, autonomous living, healthy lifestyle and environmental stewardship. You can volunteer for a 3 month Eco-Internship at http://www.katimavik.org/eco-internship or check out one of their other programs at http://www.katimavik.org/
