Women's Cyber Security Scholarships
Up to $5000 will be awarded to a student pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field. See the attached application for further criteria.

Sooke Teachers' Association Scholarships
Seven scholarships of $1000 each are available to students of the Sooke School District who are planning to attend full-time post-secondary school. In addition to an application form, students must also submit a resume and their transcript. Please note that 5 of the 7 awards are reserved for students whose parents are members of the Sooke Teachers' Association. See the application for more details. Shortlisted students will be interviewed in May to assist with making the final selection of winners.

RE/MAX 2023 Quest for Excellence
The Quest for Excellence Program recognizes the pursuits in leadership and community contributions of Western Canadian students. High school students graduating in 2021 from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories are encouraged to write an essay to convey the contributions they have made to enrich the lives of others and their communities through leadership, motivation, volunteering and participation in charitable events or fundraising.

JABC Junior Entrepreneur Award:
The Junior Entrepreneur Award recognizes youth who have demonstrated outstanding business acumen, growth, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit while participating in JA Company Program or JA Company Program for Indigenous Learners. Four youth who held executive positions in their student company will be awarded $2,500 each to support their diverse educational or other needs. Participants must be nominated by their JA Company Program mentor(s) or host teacher(s). Award recipients will participate in a live interview about their experience at the annual BLBC Hall of Fame Gala Dinner & Induction Ceremonies to be held on June 3, 2024 (From JABC Website).

BC Principals and Vice-Principals Association (BCPVPA) Scholarships
Scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, are awarded annually to students who are graduating from the BC public school system and proceeding to a post-secondary institution.
- Up to 10 scholarships are reserved for the sons and daughters of BCPVPA members.
- Up to 10 scholarships are reserved to other graduating students.
- Up to 2 scholarships will be awarded to Indigenous students.

The Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) Scholarship Fund
The purpose of this scholarship is to support the educational goals of young co-op members who are making a contribution to their communities. The maximum award is $5,000. Scholarship winners will receive $2,000 in their first year of study and $1,000 each year thereafter for up to four years of study.
Applicants must:
- Live in a CHF BC member housing co-op
- Plan to attend a Canadian, publicly-funded, accredited college, university or government-approved apprenticeship program on a full-time basis
- Be making a positive contribution to their school, co-op, OR community
- Demonstrate financial need

Daneen Skilling Scholarship for Studies in Occupational Health
This scholarship of $2,500 is offered by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC to a student enrolling in an Occupational Health and Safety program. A secondary practicum opportunity is included in this scholarship following successful completion of studies. Applicants will submit an essay of 750 to 1,200 words explaining why workplace health and safety is important to them, and why they are pursuing this course of study.

The BC Hydro Power Pioneers are recognizing youth who have excelled in community service. There are twenty $500 awards available throughout British Columbia. BC Retired Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association (BCRPVPA) Awards
Up to 12 x $1000 bursaries/scholarships are awarded to students who are continuing their education at an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. (Those planning a “gap year” should apply in the first year in which they register in a post-secondary program.) Students who are pursuing education in trades, technical, and career fields, as well as those entering universities and colleges, are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be judged on their academic achievements and demonstrated leadership and service activities both within the school and community. Financial need will also be considered.

Victoria Diocesan Catholic Women's League Bursary
This $500 or $750 scholarship is awarded to children or grandchildren of members of the Catholic Church in the Victoria Diocese. Applicants should be members of the Catholic Church as well and be able to have their parish priest sign the form.

Leonard Foundation Scholarship

Manulife Life Lessons Scholarship
The Manulife Life Lessons $10,000 Scholarship is for students in Canada who have experienced a death of a parent or guardian with little or no insurance coverage. To enter, complete and submit the online application form, including an essay of no more than 500 words or video entry of no more than 3 minutes describing the financial and emotional challenges you have experienced as a result of the death of a parent or legal guardian.

TELUS Student Bursary
Recipients receive a bursary valued at $3,000 (college) or $5,000 (university) to put toward tuition fees at post-secondary institutions in Canada. Eligibility: youth between the ages of 17 and 29 in critical financial need; accepted into, or attending, a first undergraduate degree or diploma program at a college, university or polytechnic institute in Canada; Canadian citizen or permanent resident; commitment to delivering a social impact initiative during the course of their studies that will have a positive social or environmental impact in their community. Westshore Community Response Network
This $250 fellowship award will be presented to a graduating, full-time high school student of School District 62, who intends to pursue a career that supports the elderly and/or the aging process. Please not that the sue of these funds is not restricted to post-secondary costs and may be used to further learning in a care-giving career.
Applicants must submit the following:
1. Cover letter The letter must explain how the student meets the eligibility criteria, and must include answers to the following questions (500 words maximum):
● What is ageism and how does it affect life in the West Shore communities?
● What is an example of a positive change that could be made in the West Shore communities to improve the lives of our elderly residents?
2. Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher, school counsellor, mentor, or volunteer supervisor, and one from outside of the school community such as a connection through work or extra-curricular activities.
3. A resume.

BC School Superintendents Association Education Scholarship
The British Columbia School Superintendents Association will award seven regional scholarships to students planning to pursue post-secondary studies. Students wishing to be considered for a scholarship must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident currently enrolled in their final year of studies at a public secondary school in British Columbia and expected to graduate in June 2026. One recipient will be chosen from each of the seven BCSSA provincial chapters (Fraser Valley, Kootenay-Boundary, Metro, Vancouver Island, Northern, and Thompson-Okanagan). In addition, the Indigenous Chapter reviews Indigenous applicants from each chapter and awards one scholarship.
The scholarship committees will look for applicants who have shown outstanding leadership that positively impacts their school and community. Only completed applications will be accepted for the scholarship selection process:
- One-page description of how you have made a difference in the life or lives of others (450 words maximum).
- Two letters of reference.
- Demonstrated distinctive leadership by providing two examples, including a brief description, this can include an inspirational artifact, a short video, newsletter, photo, story, or other media.
- Copy of the official school transcript of your grades to date.
- Proof of application/entry to a post-secondary institution (apprenticeship, college, university).

Junior Achievement BC Award for Oratory and Presentation Skills
This $2500 award is offered to students who have participated in a Junior Achievement program through one of their classes within the last 5 years. You must prepare a speech and provide a written version and a video of it. You also must be able to attend the gala event in Vancouver on May 14 to deliver your speech.
