Westshore Arts Council Scholarships
The West Shore Arts Council is happy to announce that they are offering $500 scholarships again! Successful applicants currently attend high school, and plan to enroll in further education at a recognized post-secondary institution to pursue a career in the fine arts. This could include music, dance, theatre, film, visual arts, literary arts, digital arts, and others.

Metchosin Foundation Beecher Bay Scholarship for Community Service, Academic Achievement, and Environmental Stewardship

Metchosin Foundation Scholarship for Academic Achievement
This scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Canadian applicant who resides in Metchosin and displays high academic achievement. Evaluations of academic performance will be weighted by the difficulty of program and course choices. Metchosin Foundation Scholarship for Community Citizenship
This scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Canadian applicant who resides in Metchosin demonstrating significant involvement/leadership in activities important to social health and community support. Metchosin Foundation Scholarship for Environmental Stewardship
This scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Canadian applicant who resides in Metchosin demonstrating concern for environmental issues. Volunteer work on environmental projects and relevant classroom projects will be a principle consideration. ICA Diversity Scholarships
ICA’s Diversity Scholarships are awarded to students from a diverse and/or immigrant background who demonstrate in their academic and community work active support for strong community values around diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Capital Region.
- One $2,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is accepted into a diploma or degree program at a college or university for 2022/23 in the Capital Region
- One $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior of Indian descent who is accepted into a college or university for 2022/23

Royal Canadian Legion: Sir Percy Lake Memorial Scholarship (See also the RCL Branch #91 Bursary below)
This $2000 scholarship open to graduating students who have been accepted into their first year at UVIC, Royal Roads, or VIU and must start in the year the scholarship is presented.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch Bursary (#91 Langford Station) (See also RCL Sir Percy Lake award above)
Financial Need bursaries are awarded to students attending facilities on a full-time basis for two consecutive semesters. Priority is given to children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Veterans and Ex-Service Personnel. Applicants are permitted to submit applications for Branch Bursaries and Sir Percy Scholarships, however an applicant may only receive one award. Herman Rebneris Student Carpentry Award
CHBA will recognize the commitment to those learning the carpentry trade by awarding a deserving student with a $500 gift certificate to buy “the tools of the trade.”
The award is open to students from Vancouver Island Secondary schools with a carpentry program.
Selection criteria:
1) registered within the past 12 months in a recognized carpentry/woodworking/career prep program
2) good record of academic achievement

Association of School Transportation Services of British Columbia Commercial Heavy-Duty Mechanic Scholarship
The ASTSBC will award up to four scholarships annually to eligible student(s) attending a BC educational facility for the express purpose of attaining certification as a Commercial Heavy Duty Mechanic. You may receive up to $7000 over the four years.

The Constable Sarah Beckett Memorial Scholarship (CRD Traffic Safety Division)
This scholarship will be awarded to a post-secondary student based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and who is enrolled and about to begin studies, or currently studying a program leading to a law enforcement career in a recognized Canadian post-secondary education institution.

Indigenous Mental Health Fine Arts Bursary (FAB) Award
Held at Vancouver Foundation, one $1,000 bursary for an Indigenous post-secondary student 18 years or older, who is pursuing fine arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design and has accessed support/mental health services.
